Michael Seaman is LA-based pianist, composer, and music director attracting the attention of audiences and musicians alike for his passionate and fresh take on the jazz and pop traditions. His compositions and arrangements have been featured as part of the South Dakota Symphony’s 2023 concert series, Netflix’s The Monkey King (2023), HBO’s Perry Mason (2020), Engelbert Humperdinck’s 2021 Reflections international tour, and in his own 12-piece jazz big band The Fresh Rhythm with Luke Carlsen.
Seaman’s performance and compositional background spans numerous genres, comfortably fitting into the idioms of jazz, classical, pop, rock, country, blues, musical theatre and more. His interpretation of musical tradition regularly draws audiences to some of LA’s top venues (Vibrato Jazz Grill, Disneyland Resort, The Roxy Hollywood, The Starlight Amphitheater Burbank, etc.) and his performances have previously been praised by the O.C Register.
As a bandleader, Seaman has lead productions and lead ensembles for Engelbert Humperdinck, Anthony Bernasconi, actress Victoria Summer, The Fresh Rhythm, and countless musical theatre productions across the state.
